Shamanic Nature Immersion & Integration

A Monthly Moving Meditation Through Sacred Landscape

Hike & Heal is a monthly group experience that uses the intelligence of the natural world as the primary healing instrument — combining shamanic nature immersion, somatic movement, and guided integration to reset the nervous system, restore internal balance, and reconnect the body to the land.

Held every first Saturday of the month, the experience begins at Awaken Sanctuary for Awareness before moving into a carefully selected natural environment. The hike itself is not exercise. It is a moving meditation — a structured, intentional process of releasing what the body has been holding, receiving what the land is offering, and returning to the rhythmic intelligence of the natural world that the nervous system was built to inhabit.

We return to the sanctuary for guided integration — allowing the shifts that emerged during the movement to land fully in the body and be carried forward consciously.

Vuyiswa Kayembe facilitates this experience through an African shamanic framework — one that understands land not as backdrop but as living intelligence, ancestral field, and primary healing agent. The land speaks. This experience teaches you how to listen.

What this experience supports: — Nervous system regulation through nature immersion and movement — Somatic release through walking, breathing, and land contact — Emotional grounding and mental clarity — Ancestral reconnection through African land wisdom — Community and collective healing in a shared outdoor container — Integration of personal insights that emerge during movement

What to expect: — Guided hike at a gentle, accessible pace — no fitness level required — Shamanic opening and land acknowledgement — Breathwork and mindfulness practices woven throughout — Post-hike integration circle at the sanctuary — Safe, structured, supportive group environment

What to bring: — Comfortable walking shoes and weather-appropriate clothing — Water bottle and light snack — Journal and pen — Openness to moving at the pace of the land rather than the pace of the mind

Open to all. No application required for first attendance. Returning participants welcomed back each month.
